Scottish Express – Victim’s Sister Funds Test to Beat ‘Forgotten’ Cancer

A CHARITY set up by an Edinburgh lawyer in memory of her late sister has helped make a breakthrough towards the development of a life-saving, early detection test for ovarian cancer.

Juliette Casey and her family started the Emer Casey Foundation after her sister passed away four months after diagnosis in 2006. She was 28.

Since then the organisation has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to fund scientists, improve patient care and raise awareness.
