The Emer Casey Foundation and Herne Hill Harriers hope to see you at the 8th annual Emer Casey London 10k at 9.30am on Sunday 30 October 2016. The run is a community event, taking place in Brockwell Park, Herne Hill, a picturesque park in South London and is open to runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities. You will be welcomed and encouraged whatever your level of fitness!The race HQ will be located at Brockwell Hall, which is towards the centre of the park, providing a nice easy downhill start! The course then consists of three and a half laps of the park. For the first time, every finisher will receive a technical t-shirt. As always, all of the race proceeds with be used to fund research into the causes and detection of ovarian cancer.
Online registration is available here and the entry fee is £14 for club runners with a UKA competition licence and £16 for unaffiliated runners. Entries WILL be accepted on the day, provided the entry limit of 300 participants has not been reached and at an entry fee of £18. Entry in advance is appreciated by us for organisational reasons and is cheaper for you!
Prizes will be awarded to the first three men, the first three women, the first M40 veteran, M50 veteran, W35 veteran and W45 veteran. There are also prizes for the first men’s and women’s teams and spot prizes on the day. Everyone has a chance to win something!!
We are delighted that SE Plumbing and Heating will be supported the event once again. The race will be held under UK Athletics rules, licence number 2016-26910. As a licensed event, we regret that it is not permitted for runners to push a buggy or run with animals or children under the age of 15. Race instructions will be emailed to all entrants and race numbers will be available for collection on the day. Changing and baggage storage facilities will be available.
