Turning Teal for World Ovarian Cancer Day 2017

World Ovarian Cancer Day provides an opportunity each year to raise the profile of ovarian cancer and the many organisations around the world which are dedicated to making advances in research, care and disease awareness.  This year, there was a wave of teal buildings around the world on 8th May, World Ovarian Cancer Day.  In Ireland, the National Convention Centre in Dublin was beautifully lit up and the National University of Ireland in Galway and Cork also produced spectacular displays.

Meanwhile, across the water in Edinburgh, the iconic clockface of the beautiful Balmoral Hotel was resplendent in teal.  The Emer Casey Foundation has had strong links with Edinburgh and Melbourne, Australia over the years and it was wonderful to hear from Ovarian Cancer Australia about similar teal buildings down under!
