The Emer Casey Foundation 10th Anniversary Lunch was a huge success with a capacity attendance of 250 guests in the Clarion Hotel on Saturday 19th November. Before Lunch, guest watched a lovely new video on the Foundation’s work and listened in rapt silence to our guest speaker, Anne Herlihy from Charleville, Co. Cork, who spoke about her own personal journey with ovarian cancer.
The Clarion Hotel pulled out all the stops with a delicious lunch and plenty of wine and the guests were in great form for the after lunch speech by Dr. John Coulter, consultant gynae-oncologist. More on the speech content here.

Scores of raffle and spot prizes brought much excitement to the room. Guests were all given a postcard with essential information on ovarian cancer to send to a friend who could not be there. Well done to all who helped, attended and sponsored us. More photos here with thanks to Kevin Murphy, the Cork Examiner and the guests on the day who were tweeting their own photos. 14,000 euro was raised on the day and more information here soon on the project which we will sponsor in CUH as a result of this fundraising effort.
